Today I headed out in search of some more Thornmacks but after failing to secure any fresh Mackerel due to very coloured water from the recent rains I anchored up and just tried with frozen Mackerel it was a slow start with not many bites at all then it was bites coming thick and fast but all from small dabs and whiting.
With a very dark sky looming it was time to mark the anchor and dash for shore to sit it out after it had passed I paddled back out and the whiting were around in plague proportion's but eventually connected with a slightly better fish and a nice Turbot was soon on board
Unfortunately no Rays today but enjoyable none the less
Andy
